Volt documentation
Volt is a language for microcontroller firmware. You describe the hardware and what it should do, and the compiler checks every pin against the chip before anything is flashed.
hardware {
pin led: Output = 2
pin button: PullUpInput = 23
pin buzzer: PWM = 18
}
every 500ms {
led.toggle()
}
every 20ms {
if button.is_pressed() {
buzzer.tone(880)
} else {
buzzer.no_tone()
}
}This is the real compiler, running in this page. Change the LED to = 34, or 500ms to 500, and see what it says.

-
Your first program Blink an LED on a real board. -
Hardware Pins, devices and buses, checked against the chip. -
Program structure The parts of a program and when each runs. -
Timing and tasks Run things on a beat, side by side. -
State machines Behaviour as states and the moves between them. -
Channels Hand values from one task to another. -
Storage Keep values through a restart. -
Handling failure Decide what happens when the network drops. -
Devices Every part Volt has a driver for.
